I have a problem. Please help me.
I've done everything to clean some website addresses from my address bar.
I've cleaned history, deleted temporary files, erased all index.dat files.
Also tried every possible adware softwares.

When I clean history, all web address are cleaned but,
2 web addresses still come up in address bar even after I clean everything!
They aren't porn sites or anything like that. It just doesn't get erased!

I want the automatic typing option on. But when I clean history I'm
expecting no web addresses to remain.

Where is IE storing these web site addresses??????
Please advanced users just tell me where it is, so I can delete it.
No software will clean this out. I've tried everything mentioned in this
forum.

Hi,
These are probably coming from the index.dat file in the History folder.
Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/fre...ory-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder (and the index.dat file) and a new one will be created when
you restart.
Or the History folder can be deleted manually:

I was having the same problem (seemingly undeletable url in the address bar
drop-down box). This advice, about the index.dat files and using the history
eraser (I got the evaluation version of their more powerful eraser) fixed the
problem.

Thanks, Don!
