Installing Panda after uninstalling a Microsoft security product reminds me
of some problems with that and the Windows Live OneCare (AV suite) although
I haven't heard of it directly with just a Windows Defender (basically a
part of OneCare) installation before your post. See if this OneCare thread
doesn't help you resolve the issue, although I suspect Panda support may
have encountered the very same issue and have a more appropriate or
specific workaround for Defender as well.

if you needed to follow up with Panda Support, then what was necessary to
