Hey Is there any software that will scan harddrive for deleted files,
show them, and allow one to completely wipe them from the Disk

there is a program that
i use once a month or so
called eraser which can
wipe away deleted files
that are not seen by windows
but still reside on the disk.

however, if you want to
see these types of files
you can use another
program called recuva,
which will give you the
opportunity to restore
any of them or leave them
for the eraser.

------------

further, run a checkdisk
before and after wiping
the disk, then a defrag.

I only wish to see the files to be sure I don't erase files I need. Someone
suggested ccleaner, I use this often but does not remove files from disk.
The other day I deleted some files by accident and download an undelete
program, I discovered I have more then 26,000 deleted files stil on the hard
drive. These are the files I wish to remove.

The date and time was 11/7/2008 8:36 AM, and on a whim, Larry pounded

Hi Larry,

I've used REST2514 on memory cards with good results. I just tried it
on my C: drive and it has a "Delete completely" option that removes
anything that you don't undelete.

You can get it here:

Hey Terry How does that rest2514 work, I had it scan the hard drive and
when it was done, then what? I can't find any buttons that say Delete
Completely. The buttons I have are Exit , Restore by Copying and Search
Deleted Files. How do I remove all the files permmently.
