I am doing a clean install on a 160GB HD on a Intel MB P4 -1.8Ghz. For some
reason. The system keeps going back to the same "install windows" screen. I
have deleted and made new partitions and it is driving me crazy.
It seems I read something on this a long time ago.
Thanks for you help.
James

Not enough details.
You are the only one seeing anything - you have to describe it to the rest
of us.

What is the timer at?
How did you get to this point?
Does your system require any special drivers (F6 installation)?
etc...

It doesn't even get to that point. It just goes back to the original install
windows screen every time. With the options of delete or make partitions. It
does say the a windows directory already exists even though I deleted the
partition and made a new one a formatted it. Weird.

One more thing. It does have a PCI SATA controller card running two HDs.

Or is it one where you have to F6 early in the install to install sata
drivers from floppy?
Your mobo manual will tell you
