Class not registered error

This is probably my own fault because until I started playing around with
other DVD software, Moviemaker worked perfectly OK on my machine. I am now
getting a "class not registered" error message when I go to Capture Method.
If I click OK at that point, I then get "an unknown error has occurred" and
I am not able to go further
Obviously, this problem is preventing video capture
The software seems to work OK in every other respect and recognises my Canon
MV650i DV Camera
I use Windows XP Home with a hp Pavilion 754 2.8 Pentium 4 machine
Any help will be appreciated
Ken

Possibly a codec problem with the new software, can you un-install it or use
system restore to go to before installation to check? If not try
www.papajohn.org problem solving >codecs and accelleration
or
www.the-kellys.org renaming codecs app with a tutorial.
