I have included a "Close window" script on a customers web site
http://www.gundogs-wales.co.uk/argo.htm
On my computer it closes the window and returns to the previous page but on
2 of my customers computers it brings up a message "Internet Explorer is
trying to close" etc and when yes is selected it closes down the whole site.
Is there a setting in IE that is causing this or something in the online
website.
Thanks in advance
Teriel9

Hi,
What would you like to happen? Are you intending to open this page in a new
window from a link on another page on your site? If so this will work fine.
However if I, or you or anyone, clicked the link in your message then the
Close Window link it would pop up the message. This isn't a function of IE
or the script it depends on how your user opens the page in the first place.

Different browsers have different security measures for the Close Window
script. For example, standard Firefox security will let Close Window go
normally, but in IE the Close Window script will ask you if you want to close
it or not. This is unavoidable and different for each user and security
setup. There's really nothing you can do, unless you want to reconsider the
use of that script.
