I have a Citrix metaframe XP farm with three servers. Users are complaining
that they are being disconnected in the middle of a session. When they log
in they are able to connect back to the session where they left off. This
has been a fairly recent problem. The users seem to be mostly connected over
a WAN link frame relay that we have monitored and reaches 80% usage at very
high peak times and averages between 40-60% usage. Performance monitor does
not reveal excessive processor or memory usage. Is there any issues out
there that have been similar? Looking for help. Thanks.

Hi,
Usually an abrupt disconnection does not go unnoticed in the server's event
log. Are there any messages in the event logs regarding why the disconnection
has occured?

The only messages in the event log that I can see is the errors about client
auto-printer failing to load.

The CIR of the Frame Relay line is very unreliable at that point. Either
increase it or introduce a QOS solution. Otherwise this will continue to
happen. In the meantime increase the TCPKeepalive ACKs in the registery to
help keep the sessions connected during high peak hours. Just a large print
job on a non PS printer can use up all the bandwidth and knock people off a
session.
