Citrix java applets greyed out - Remote Desktop does not load

Hi,

I have two PCs each running IE6. One has IE6 with SP1 installed and the
latest version of Java from Java's website. The other has MS JVM and does
NOT have SP1 installed.

If I connect to a Citrix server and Java applets are enabled for an
application - such as Remote Desktop or Terminal Services Client - the IE6
PC (Non SP1, non Java) connects to the applets and they run no problem. If I
connect to the IE6 with SP1 PC (Java installed and updated today from Sun's
Java site) all I get is a grey box and the applet hangs.

I've looked online and this appears to be a common problem - however, no one
seems to have a solution. Recommendations seems to be to reinstall Java -
done that numerous times and rebooted - or clear your Temp Internet Files
folder and/or Cookies. Nothing has worked.

There seems to be an inconsistency between the old 'MS' JVM which works and
Sun's Java engine.

If anyone has a solution it would be welcome,

John.
