Cisco LEAP on Intel Centrino laptops authenticating at Winlogon

We are trying to setup a laptop to do LEAP authentication on a
Centrino laptop. We'd like to do this authentication before the
Windows login screen appears, so Windows 2000 authentication can occur
with our Domain. Is there a way to setup an Intel Centrino card to
require its own authentication prior to the Windows 2000 login screen
appearing?

Hi Rob,

The answer is going to be yes but you will need to get that info from either the NIC vendor or
more likely Cisco. I ma providing a Cisco link that talks about this issue.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/...e09186a008019f
ea2.shtml

When the laptop boots up, the NIC (computer) gets connected first and autheroized before the
Windows logon screen. That is part of how you set up our access requirements. Again, the
Cisco site has lots of into n that.

Thanks,
Gary

Thanks for the info Gary. I did some reading on Cisco's site, but I
still can't find an answer. Are you saying that if Intel (the NIC
manufacturer) doesn't have any documentation supporting this ability,
it is not fesible until they have an updated driver? Are you
currently doing this or know someone who is, and if so, what wireless
adapters are being used?
