When Ilook under 'Task Manager, Processes', I have 3or4
cidaemon.exe running at once & some times it users up 100%
of CPU & effects other progams. If I end it my system
seems to run just fine.

Can anyone tell me:-

What it is,
What it does,
& can I remove it.

(It came up Virus free)

Help, Thanks

Hi,

It's the indexing service. Turn it off on the general tab of the drive's
properties (right-click the drive in Windows Explorer and choose
properties).
