well that was interesting. Ihave only read that you cannot do chromakey on
moviemaker.

will have to tryit out this weekend.

bought pinnacle studio just for that effect and that program is a dog. just
a scam to take $100 out of peoples pockets. the videos all stutter and
flutter.

we tried the thing on that youtube video and cannot get the greenscreen to
happen.

copied xml and pasted to notepad. created the folder addontfx and saved the
file
as greenscreen.xml and under all files.

it shows up in transitions ok

insert video one (background) then video 2 foreground. insert transition
greenscreen between and drag video 2 left over video 1 as far as possible.

well, nothing happens.

on the windowsmoviemakers.net

it says drag the transition to both left and right to the ends of both
videos. that is not possible.

it says the icon for the xml file should be a globe in between 2 brackets.
that is not happening. the icon is the little box with lots of colored spots
in it.

looks like our version of movie maker is not going to allow greenscreen.

we are using moviemaker 2.1.4

btw we tried installing pinnacle 10 again but the same problem, the videos
flicker dozens of times a minute and there is no help to stop the problem.
completely useless waste of $90.00

even if we can never chroma key using moviemaker at least we CAN make movies
:-)

That's the latest version for WinXP...and
is the same version in use in the tutorial.

Maybe the following article will offer some
new ideas:

effects, transitions and titles

Chroma Keying (bluescreen
techniques)
