Hi, I've just finished downloading a bunch of MP3s from Morpheus a couple of
days ago with no problems. Now, all Of a sudden, whenever I play ANY
music, even songs I
burned from CDs, I'm getting choppy playback, similar to a CD that skips.
-These are files on my computer, not on CD. Just all of a sudden, one day
they played fine, the next, Pooh. I tried doing a virus scan, and it turned
up negative. The only thing I can think of that I did previous to it messing
up, is a Defragmentation. That shouldn't have any effect on music files
should it? How Do I correct the problem without trashing all my music files
and starting over?

I'm no expert, but I did stay at
the Holiday Inn Express last night.

Hey Pearlie. You might have already fixed your problem. If not, try
uninstalling Windows Update KB893086. I had the exact same problem up until
3 days ago, when I finally (by chance) found out that the update was causing
it. I have no idea why.
