Choosing Word 2003 as mail editor

I'd like to choose Word 2003 as my mail editor but when I use TOOLS > OPTIONS
> Mail Format tab the "use Microsoft Office Word 2003 as my email editor" is
grayed out and cannot be selected. Any idea why? I have the Office suite on
my computer.
