Our office computer uses Outlook 2000. We have 3 different e-mail accounts
(set up by a prior employee) which we use for different company business
Would like to switch between the 3 e-mail accounts sometimes when sending
messages so they are sent from the correct account depending on the message
or recipient.

In Outlook 2003 on my home computer, I could easily choose from which
account to send an e-mail by using the Account drop down box when opening the
new message. I could also easily change the e-mail account settings by going
to TOOLS, E-MAIL ACCOUNTS, and editing/adding my e-mail accounts. Can't seem
to do either in 2000.

Is there any way to select different accounts in Outlook 2000, and if the
only way is to change the default account, how do I get to an area where I
can edit the e-mail account settings?

Use the dropdown arrow on the Send button.
Tools-> Services will bring up the account settings screen.

Thanks for your response. Is the only way to change the account a message is
sent from in Outlook 2000 by changing the default e-mail account?

No, as I said, you can use the dropdown arrow on the Send button to change
the account you use on a per message base.

My SEND button does not have a drop down menu - it just sends the message I'm
on. The Tools-->Services brings up the e-mail accounts but not the settings
for those accounts.

Are we perhaps on different versions?

We sure are on different versions but that doesn't matter since I also have
test machines with Outlook 2000 configured ;-)

Make sure you have Outlook set as your email editor. Word 2000 doesn't
support selecting an email account.
