previously i installed two different operating systems on different
harddrive. later however the second harddrive crashes and now is it unusable.
But the problem is that every time i start my computer it asks me to choose
which operating system to choose. Is there a way possible that i can remove
the option which takes me to the non-working operating system and make a
default choice. Thanks

Start > Run
Type msconfig > Click OK
Go to "BOOT.INI" tab
Click the button "Check all boot paths"
Follow the instructions to remove the invalid line.

Good Luck, Ayush.

what you want to do
is modify the hidden system
file called boot.ini and remove
that secondary boot option/entry.

you can use notepad to open the ini
file and then resave it as an ini

or

you can run msconfig, go to the boot
tab and initiate the check boot paths

or

you can go to control panel, systems,
advance and startup/recovery to view
and edit the boot file...
