Method 1:
In the Storyboard view, click on the first picture in the storyboard and
press Ctrl-A to select all. Now right click on the desired transition or
effect and select Add to Storyboard.
Method 2:
First select the desired transition and copy it to the clipboard by pressing
Ctrl-C or from right click menu selct Copy. Now select all clips in the
storyboard/timeline (Ctrl-A) and paste the transition (Ctrl-V or right
click -> Paste)
