Hi there,
Sorry for my mistake: I sometimes post on english language forums, when french people do not have the solution

So, I've got a subscription to microsoft.public.windowsxp.general but I actually wanted to post on microsoft.public.fr.windowsxp.
Thanks nass, I managed to get rid of this message by deleting the last line in BOOT.INI, under [operating systems] topic.
The line was: "C:\CMDCONS\BOOTSECT.DAT="Console de r,cup, ration Microsoft Windows XP" /cmdcons".
I'm just wondering how this line got to appear, but this is an other story. Maybe Windows Update. I understand this feature may be
useful, but for some reasons, I do not want it to appear on startup.
Cheers.

Hello,
A few weeks ago, a message started to appear on the screen of my PC just before Windows launch.
This message didn't appear before (for months). The message looks like this:
"Please select the Operating System to start:
- Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
- Microsoft Windows XP Recovery Console"
How to manage the display of this message? How to get rid of it?
Thanks by advance.
