When I try to scan my C: drive for antivirus, before
finish scanning, there is error message popout to
run "CHKDSK /F"
So I open my command prompt and enter "CHKDSK /F", prompt
asks me with this message

"Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)"

I say Y and try to restart, but CHKDSK didn't do anything.
Can anyone have idea how to run CHKDSK

P.S. my computer always try to reboot with no reasons and
I have two operating system in my desktop (Window XP and
Mandrake)

Thank you!

Run Chkdsk /r from the Recovery Console
-------------------------------------------------
To run chkdsk /r from the recovery console, follow these steps:

1. Restart the computer with the Windows XP CD in the CD-ROM drive.
2. When the "Welcome to Setup" screen appears, press R to start the
Recovery Console.
3. If you have a dual-boot or multiple-boot computer, choose the
installation that you need to access from the Recovery Console.
4. When you are prompted to do so, type the administrator password. If
the administrator password is blank, press ENTER.
5. At the command prompt, type "chkdsk /r" (without the quotation
marks), and then press ENTER.
6. When Chkdsk has finished running, restart the computer.
