Try this: go to Start -> Run and type in chkntfs /X C:
Then press Enter.
Restart your computer.

But before you do this you should back up your registry:

chkdsk is Microsoft's Check Disk utility - it checks the hard drive errors
and then if it finds any it attempts to repair any damaged information.
