I am upgrading to win xp pro on my dell p3. I am putting
in a new hard drive. Do I need to load the chipset for the
motherboard? Dell does not list any and they had said that
win2000 loads chipsets when I did an upgrade from win 98.
If I do need to update can I use the Intel update listed
on the Intel site for the 82820 chipset? Anything else I
may have forgotten. Thanks to all.

The XP install should get most of the drivers you need. If
you have added some video or sound card that is newer than
XP, you'll need to have those drivers.
