Probably a dumb question, but here it goes anyway:

There seem to be all kinds of programs that can make compuiters do all kinds of
weird and wonderful things.

Would there be a program which makes the computer (clock) beep or chime on the
hour, or as an "alarm clock" function?

Good question...I bet you'll find exactly what you're looking for by
searching the internet.

No rap intended. Windows doesn't have an alarm clock, so to answer your
question I would just look for something on the internet. If I get you to do
that instead, not only will you find what you want, you'll get practice in
using the search engines. A double win for you.

Some advice: Whatever you choose to download, make sure it doesn't come with
a virus or malware.

There are several. I like the little freeware program TClock (not the
similarly named, but inferior, in my view, TClockex), which can do these and
several other useful things. Find it with Google.

Thanks, folks for all your help!
TClock seems to be a pretty nifty program - I'm trying it.
