Child Windows cannot have menus error

I'm developing an MDI app in Delphi right now on a Win2k Pro machine. I
suddently started getting the errorr "Child Windows cannot have menus"
occasionally when opening child forms. It's not all the time and not
consistent. I can open one form over and over again successfully and then
once in a while this error pops up. I've looked around on line for
information about this error and only have been able to determine that it's
a Win2k OS error and not a Delphi one. But nothing has told me what might
cause it and what the possible solutions are. Does anyone have any insight
into this?
