Hi, I hope that someone can help me.
If I have 2 independent domains in different forests, I want to know if it
is possible to make one domain child of the other domain. If it is possible,
what should I do?

Thank you

The only way to accomplish this would be to destroy 1 domain/forest and then
re-create the domain as part of the remaining forest.

ie; Domain1 and Domain2
-Destroy Domain2
-Make Domain2's DCs DCs of the new child domain
newdomain.domain1.com
No other way to make it a child.
What are you trying to accomplish? There may be an alternative to creating
the child domain.

The closest you could get would be to create the child domain you want, then
migrate the existing second domain into the new child domain. You can
accomplish that process with the Active Directory Migration Tool from
Microsoft
(http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000...mt/default.asp), but
it can be somewhat complex so it's best to read through all of their
documentation before trying it with production machines.

nope not possible... migrate first to one of the the domains or create
another domain with a different name and migrate.

why do you need two domains in the forest?

Cheers,
