Thank you for any help in advance.

I have a Win 2000 server as root domain with DNS service on it,

I added a new child domain to this domain and everything was okay, but at
the DNS consol a folder appeared under the forward lookup zones carrying the
child domain name only without any records inside.

Note: this child domain is not the first child domain created under this
parent domain without any problem.

thx

Child domains shouldn't appear automatically UNLESS you are using
AD Integrated with Forest wide DNS-DC replication -- this only exists
with Win2003 DCs so you aren't using this.

Go ahead and add the DELEGATION (right click on parent zone,
new delegation) records to the parent zone:

NS and A records for each child DNS server.
