I am surprised at the comments. I wouldn't have thought of a simple hover
button as "cheesy" and as for Flash... I have actually used it for slide
shows and animation etc. I'm over the whiz-bang approach too...but if you
are in show business...you want a show business opening.

If you are an accounting firm then, bells and whistles are not appropriate.

Alex

Hmm. Can't read down, I just cleared all of the posts from the client group.
I do that whenever a group hits 4 or 5 thousand downloaded messages.
I "visit" 39 different news groups, so my message store folder gets rather large.

Way too many groops.
I think Smart-Alex too slight to a response...no biggie.

Hover buttons _are_ cheezy and always simple. No doubt about that.

Flash is fine, as long as it isn't sprung on an unsuspecting visitor, and
isn't a requirement to be able to view the site.

The problem with Flash as usually implemented, is that it
adds no content to the site. Only a display of someones
ability to create the Flash display. I have seen a
brilliant Flash display showing gears and wheels turning -
for an Attorney's web site...???

probably came with a template, and they thought it looked 'snazzy'.
