Hi all!

How can I prevent WinXPhe from starting the disk-check?
I have put in an extra disk (FAT32) that I want to backup before
trying to fix it. There is some problems with it, and windows notices
that and starts to run verify on it.

I want to start without running the verify. When I press a key to stop
it, it stops and does not continue booting process.

Is there a switch or setting in the boot.ini to prevent this
diskcheck?

Regards
Bertil

Will it boot into Windows if you let Scandisk proceed and finish?

Hi!

It seems to hang forever. If I disconnect the suspect drive, it boots
up ok.
If I boot into dos, I can access the suspect drive.

I just want to make a full backup of the suspected drive before I
start twiddling with it.
I wouldnt dare to do anything with it without backup because it is my
vifes computer.

/Bertil
