I have several checkboxes on my report. When I print myreport, thecheckboxes
that were not checked, have a gray shade, how do I get rid of that grey shade
so that it just appears white?

The article explains how to use a text box with a Wingdings character to
simulate a check box. You can then unbox them, change the size, color, use
conditional formatting, and so on.
