Checkbox Error

Hello,

I have created a document that has many checkboxes in it for 'YES' and 'NO'.
These have been working however the document is now not allowing me to exit
the Design Mode as for the following reason:

"Can't exit design mode because Control 'CheckBox1206' can not be created"

I have looked at as many as I can and I can't find a check box with the
number. None of the boxes are working now. Any ideas? I am using Word 2000 I
believe.
