The Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB 2.0 is really a pain to handle in WinXP! At
first everything works OK, but suddenly after a day or so you get code 10
(the device cannot be started) and NOTHING works to fix it. A total system
cleanup and reinstall may get the device started again, if you're lucky!

Hauppauge gives NO support at all, and if you're so lucky that you find the
so called support site for this card there are no fixes or problem
descriptions and no Windows XP compatible drivers. I thought Hauppauge was
among the better TV cards. Now I've discovered that only two of their cards
are listed in the Windows XP catalog, none of them of USB type!

After trying two devices of WinTV PVR USB 2.0 I changed it with a AverDVD
EZmaker USB 2.0 at half the price. I think I'll stick to German or Japanese
hardware after this.
