The most common mistake I make with emails is to try to send a file and then
forget to attach the dang file.

How about an option to scan outgoing email for the word "attaching" "attached"
"enclosed" etc, and pop a reminder dialog if it has no attachment?

You could buy an add-on to compensate for your forgetfullness, like:

Mention of a couple of other solutions is at:

http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/0...-attach-files/
http://webworkerdaily.com/2009/02/23...ment-reminder/

I figure it is easy enough to just send another e-mail if I forgot to
include an attached file rather than add yet another add-on or macro to
Outlook to lower its reliability.

A suggestion is not a question. Don't suggest if you are seeking help.
