How to check IP Number

I'm running XP Pro on a cable connection. I installed "WntIpcfg.exe" to
check my IP number from time to time. Then I bought a computer with built-in
wireless, and now when I run the utility, it only shows my wireless adapter,
with no option to see my cable connection. How can I make it show the cable
connection IP number? Thanks!

at the CMD prompt

IPCONFIG /ALL

Thanks for the response, although I already knew this CMD prompt thing could
be done. What I would like is to continue to use the IP Configuration
Utility to check my cable IP number. Any ideas on this?

Then why the hell didn't you say so in the first place. Wasting people's
time is not the way to get help but it does make you a wart on the ass of
progress.

With th WINIPCFG utility, this will display the "first" network adapter
in alphabetic order. If you want to see the remain adapters, you must
click on the "downward" arrow and select the adapter you want.

BTW: When you run the utility, you only will see the locally available
network adapters. Since you mentioned that you have a wireless
network, you will not see the IP address of the cable Internet unit.
The wireless router does not permit this. Try the following:
http://keir.net/ip2.html

Your IP address will only change when you disconnect and re-connect to your
router or cable modem - otherwise it stays the same all the time you are
connected.....
