1. What is the way to check whether my Windows XP is installed as X32 or X64?
(BTW, this computer was costumed configured by HP and XP came with this
computer.)

2. What is the way to switch in-between X32 or X64?

3. By switching to X64, do I need to upgrade all the other drivers like
Printer, scanner, Web Camera to work?

Thanks,
niladri

Hi - please don't start a new thread; you have replies in your existing one.
Give people time to reply! However, yes, your software and drives would all
need to be 64-bit compatible.

Also - you might want to consider using a news client, such as Forte Agent,
Thunderbird, or even Outlook Express, rather than the pretty clunky web
interface to the newsgroups. I's a lot easier to do nearly everything that
way. You can mark messages to be watched, filter the views so you can see
replies to your posts easily, and search.

The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can
subscribe to as many groups as you like; no authentication is required.

If you are asking - you have 32bit.

If by 'switch' you mean 'move' --> Clean installation onto hardware designed
to handle the x64 platform.

And yes - you would have to ensure your hardware actually has drivers
provided by the manufacturer of each piece of hardware for your new OS.
That includes everything inside your computer (motherboard chipset, video
card, sound card, network card, etc) as well as external to it (scanner,
printer, camera, etc.)

Answered a short while ago. Please don't post the same question twice.

You can't, as I said.

"Upgrade" isn't quite the correct word, but yes, you will need 64-bit
drivers for your hardware. One of the issues with 64-bit XP is that
some of the drivers you need may not be available.

You could start by being PATIENT. You've already asked this and that
original post already has replies - so why did you repost your drivel
again 30 MINUTES LATER???

Patience is not well regarded or rewarded here.

And as several other people have already commented gently on this, it isn't
necessary to get out the big guns. The OP is using the web interface and
probably didn't know any better.....be nice.
