Check disk - phase 4

's Computer Specifications

Does anyone know of information about phase 4 of the Check
disk utility in XP? The task manager says everything is
running but I can't seem to get phase 4 to do anything? Of
course the cancel button is greyed out. I can't find any
information on the MS site, so any suggestions????
