I'd like to say that FP has not helped with my broken
hyperlinks. Again, is there anything other than FP that is
good for checking hyperlinks please?

I seem to recall that some people here have mentioned Xenu's Link Sleuth
http://home.snafu.de/tilman/xenulink.html

I haven't tried it - YMMV.

This seems like it takes forever. So I am trying to see if
anybody had used 3rd party software to check for broken
links.

Any link checker is only going to
be as fast as your internet connection allows,
because they actually ping the server for each link
and wait for a response. ( as does FrontPage )
If FrontPage seems slow, I would be inclined
to believe it is due to your internet connection.

To gain some insight, open a command or DOS window
and type: ping www.yahoo.com and see how long it
takes for the results.

Hi,

In answer to your question, you might want to check out Link Checker
Pro:

http://www.link-checker-pro.com

I found it easy to use and it quickly went through several thousand
links on our website. It also seems unique in being able to show a
graphical representation of your website structure.

Xenu LinkChecker at http://home.snafu.de/tilman/xenulink.html without
hesitation.

Free, fast, and configurable. Tell it what to check, what not to check,
and even how many to check at a time if you like. I use it about once a
month to examine my entire site.
