My version of excel (2000) has stopped displaying y-axis titles properly.
For a title like Depth / cm, it will only display Depth /, for example. This
is unaffected if I change the font size of the title. The box in which the
title sits is always too small, and I am unable to change it. Does anyone
have suggestions of how to stop this happening?

I had the same problem and I would love to know how to stop it.

Add few spaces after cm and see if it works. It worked for me.

I have tried the spaces and it dosn't work for me. I have been told to try
re-installing excel (haven't tried yet). I can just about data this problem
to switching from windows 2000 to XP as my operating system (not out of
choice, my old computer died). My version of office is still 2000. Could
there be a problem with the interaction of windows XP with office 2000?
