Chart - X Axis is Dates - I'd like to show months but still retain the weekly gridlines

I have an x-y chart which plotes dates (Mondays) along the x axis and number
of widgets up the y axis. Currenly the x axis lables comprises of a date
for each ordinate. I'd like the x axis to show months only, but I'd still
like to retain all of the data points on my chart (i.e. weekly).

Can anyone advise me how to do that.
