Chart title from a cell

Product: Excel-97 SR2

When creating a chart in Excel, I can easily go right-
click -> Chart Options -> Titles -> Chart Title ->
type: "My really nice chart"

But what if I wanted the chart title to be whatever is in
a cell reference. For example why, can't I...

A1 = "My really nice chart"

right-click -> Chart Options -> Titles -> Chart Title =TEXT
(A1)

In other words, whatever I placed in A1 (assuming it's
text) would appear as the Chart's title, couldn't find
anything in the on-line help file, so hoping someone here
knows how.

If the chart already has a title:
--Click on the chart to select it
--Select the chart title
--Type an equal sign -- you'll see it appear in the formula bar
(you don't need to click in the formula bar before typing)
--Click on the cell that contains the text for the chart, e.g. C6
--Press the Enter key.

If the chart doesn't have a title:
--Click on the chart to select it
--Type an equal sign -- you'll see it appear in the formula bar
(you don't need to click in the formula bar before typing)
--Click on the cell that contains the text for the chart, e.g. C6
--Press the Enter key.
--Drag the text box from the centre of the chart to the top
--Use the buttons on the formatting toolbar to format the text

You're welcome! And if you need more information on charts, Jon
Peltier's site is a great source:
