Chart with mixed annual/5 year data

I'm doing a simple line chart where several data series are on an
annual basis but one has figures only for every fifth year. I entered
the fifth-year numbers in a column alongside the annual data and left
blank cells in between. When I added that series to the chart it shows
up in the Source Data window and in the legend on the chart, but no
data points are in the chart. I'm sure I'm doing something stupid here,
but does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!
