I am fairly familiar with excel and i know that if you create a spreadsheet
and chart, change the data in the spreadsheet, the chart automatically
updates. However if i wanted to make specific data conform to the shape of a
graph (lets say a bell curve) is there a way to specify the shape of a chart
then that in turn automatically updates the data in a spreadsheet (kind of
the other way around). I would kind of like to get rid of the guess and check
method in a sense and come up with a fundamental way of creating data. Any
help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Excel cannot do that, and when you "specify" bell curve, there are an
infinite number of shapes that could be called bell curve.
