Chart Category labels not displaying

A Microsoft Graph Chart in a report uses the first column of a query to
populate the Category (Y) Axis. When editing the graph, the category names
appear as they should. When returning to design or preview the report, the
category labels disappear.

As ever, they used to be there, now they've gone and I have not designed the
report during the interim.

I have resolved this problem by setting the font to at least size 8 -
anything smaller simply disappears.

This makes the font to big for the chart, though. How can I reduce the font
size (TT font) below 8pt and still have it displayed?
