Does anyone know of a website that gives details of charging a company that
sends out spam.

In outlook our in box tends to be full of spam each day. So - as some of
the companies are in the UK (so subject to UK law) we are going to send them
a letter informing them of our costs for reading thier mail (£1 per e mail).
They will say that it's just an advert but - so we have been informed - you
don't have to read an advert but these spam tend to titled so you have to
read them -

Has anyone heard of this type of thing before - do you have a link to a
website explaining what happend

Legitimate companies don't "advertise" through spam.

Illegitimate companies do not operate under the law.

Thanks for the answer - there is nothing we can do about some of the spam -
but - some companies do just add you to a list. ie. We get spam from a
paper supplier we used to deal with 10 years ago. We have asked them to stop
but . . . .

In the UK it only "one" company to "ever" win a case of charging £1 (thats
one pound) and a presedent will be set.

We will see

Our e mail address was parsed from somewhere (??) and we started getting
reject mails from all over the world. There is nothing we can do about these
types of people. If they were not doing this they would be stealing some
other how.

But. We are going to try and stop one company in the UK from sending us
spam. It only takes one.

We will give it a try.
