Hi Guys,
This is a bit off-topic but some people in this printing
newsgroup might be interested.

I am admin for an office where we run a number of seperate businesses
and we needed to charge
for the use of various printers.

After trialing a number of products I settled on software called
Printer Squirrel (www.lygil.com). This
allows me to easily charge on a per user or group basis and also has a
browser system that lets users see their
usage using Internet explorer.

So thats my tip for the day if you need to log or charge for printing.

Cheers

Mike Smith

A recent Consumers Report had a study of printers and included
price-per-prints. The differences are dramatic. With b/w, the cheapest
is like 1/4 of the highest. In color, the cheapest (but still
highly-rated) was less than half the highest. Once people see this they
will shun the come-on prices of some printers. Hope you have chosen your
printers on this basis and price fairly.
