i bought chaod theory for my pc, and i admit the graphics are pretty sweet.

my problem is my gamepad is not supported, so the right joystick is nto recognized.

i have no straffe....

i have been tampering with the ini files and added y controller vonfig, still no workage...anyb ideas?

Add Your Own Controller to Chaos Theory

Well its been a long night but i have figured it out. I hope many users will find use here.

many people have asked in many forums why they cant move the camera.

heres the fix: (BACK UP ALL ALTERED FILES FIRST)
1)first start thegame and enter settings,setup your controller, set the buttons you want. be sure to click save now.
LEAVE SETTINGS
alt tab

2)browse to doc&settings\appdata\chaos (abbreviated)
in the main folder is splintercell3.ini and at the very bottom of that it has your hardware vendor, and model number

3)in the same folder is joystick.ini ,, the last set of code should be your controller, or atleast have the buttons you set, if not change name exactly to as it is displayed in game's setup.
then add your harware numbers(thier backwards,dont mix em up)

now here the tricky part

look for the lines that say "axis....."

replace the lower two with these

AxisTurnHead=Axis_Rotation_Z
AxisLookUpDown=Axis_Z

now depending on your controller you may need to switch those, that is make turn Z, and lookup rota_z
(youll know when he looks up whn you poress over)

4)save the file.
ALT TAB
5)GO BACK INTO SETTINGS
Check buttons
6)save again
alt tab
7)check last controler in jpoystick file(should still be your updated camera)
