Hi,
I just need to ask a question.I recently bought a Toshiba Laptop in France
which came installed with French edition of Windows XP home. After reading
different forums and support threads it seems that there is no way i can
convert this installed version to English language which happens to be my
native language.

Would you kindly tell me what options I have to get the Windows in English?
The system reinstallation CD that came with the Laptop seems to be in French
as well!

Would appreciate your support or Comments.

You will have to purchase an English version of Windows XP and install it.

That's correct.

There are really no options. You simply have a buy a copy of Windows and
clean install it.

You only get one language per copy of XP. This is but another way MS
rips off its customers, unlike Ubuntu that offers hundreds of languages
when you install it and takes *a lot* less time to install. You can
order the FREE CD and Ubuntu will even pay the postage. Once you get the
CD, you can run it without installing anything to check it out and see
how you like it.

Purchase a copy of XP in English. You can install it clean, removing the
French XP or install as a dual boot with both versions present. You'll need
to download all the drivers for the laptop and burn to a CD to install them
when you install the English version.
