Is there a way to change the screen images when Windows starts up and shuts
down. i.e. the "Welcome" and "Saving settings"/"Windows is shutting down".
I would like to change this to images I've created.

Suggest you try searching with google.com as there is a lot of info
available about changing XP screens.
