Changing Viewing Default to Maximized

I'm working with Microsoft Outlook 2003 SP2. I'd like it to always
OPEN maximized -- but I can't figure out how to get it to do that.
(You'd think this would be an obvious thing...)

Currently it opens stretched full from top to bottom with a large
'gap' on the right-hand side of the page (formatted flush left).

I searched on this several times and found references to Outlook
Express where the same question was asked -- but no answers for how to
do it in Outlook 2003!

Is it possible to do it? I immediately maximize it every single time,
but find it so annoying that it won't 'remember' my preference. (sigh)

Any and all help is much appreciated!

How do you open Outlook? You might be able to right click the icon you use
and click properties and change it to start Maximized. BUT, if it's pinned
to the top of the Start menu because the start menu is configured to show
your email client, Properties probably links directly to Control Panel -
Mail, so you'd need to uncheck that box on the Start Menu properties and add
Outlook to pinned list manually.
