I set up this Windows 2000 machine as a single user machine which is fine. Although I screwed up and I used another name then I used for my other computers on my home network. Thus I have to type in the name and password to access my other computers. Same is true for my other computers accessing this computer. Any ideas how to fix this without reinstalling? Thanks in advance.

Bill

First create the new profile (Control Panel|Users and Passwords), then logon
at least once as the new user, then while logged on as another user (with
administrative rights) Control Panel|System|User Profiles, select the
oldprofile, Copy To, Browse to
%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\newprofile
Change "Permitted to use:" to "newprofile" OK
