is there any way of changing the location of the temp file in C:\documents
and settings\(me)\local settings? Am trying to burn a dvd through Nero and
receive the message "not enough space for temporary files in the specified
folder.(gives location of folder) .there are 468 MB abailable but the
recording process will need 3479 MB". . thanks in advanced to anyone who can
help. . .

System Properties, Advanced tab, Environment Variables, Temp (or TMP), Edit.

I was unaware that a "temp" folder would be so limited. In my
experience the only limitation would be available disk space that the
folder was on.

Hmm.. I suggested the change because I thought you (OP) had just 468 MB
left on the C: drive, and you needed to point TMP file to a different
drive with more space.
