Changing resolution in Remote Desktop

I got a flashy new monitor at work. 1280x1024.
I tried to connect from home with my 1024x768 desktop, and I find that I
can't adjust the resolution on the office computer down so that I can work
reasonably from home. I was thinking of making some registry changes and
rebooting, but there are too many for me to make sense of it.

Until I get back to work, is there a way to force some smaller resolution
on the system?

Windows XP pro at work, WinXP Home at home. Remote Desktop.
