I mean the default user profile path is the "D" drive
so if the new user logon the profile will created
automatically to the "D" drive not to the "%systemdrive%
\documents and settings

I'm trying to change the profile directory at
hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windowsnt\currentvers
sion\profilelist
now the new profile when they logon will created at "D"
drive but the they must be become a member of local
administrator groups so confusing .....
could you help me please how to made it work without add
the new users to the local administrator

many thanks
budi

Thanks, Carey, that article describes the only practical way to change
user shell folder paths AFTER XP has been installed, but as I say in
that article, there are some shell folders you DON'T want to move.

If you want to move the user profile default path away from D&S, you
have to do that in a so-called unattended install. This would require
re-installing XP.
